2004 Nan Qiao "Fu Dao" Menghai Ripe Pu-erh Tea Cake

"Fu Dao" 福到refers to the turning upside down of the "福" character which means Prosperity Arrives!

Nan Qiao tea factory is an older more established tea factory in Menghai town of Xiashuangbanna.

This ripe cake has been aged for 13 years in Xishuangbanna and has reached a nearly fully matured taste and aroma... smooth and difficult to over-brew but at the same time complex and tasty.

Very nice aged ripe pu-erh!

** Some wrappers may be bug-bitten with little holes in the paper. There may also be some dust between the wrapper and the cake. Rinse tea once or twice briefly before drinking! If you are squeamish please don't order this tea!

Brewing Recommendations:

1.  Break off small chunks and break them up further.  The compression is very tight.

2.  Use a teapot with good temperature stability.

3.  Use 100C water!!!

4.  Push the tea with longer infusions in the beginning to get the tea to "open up."
